Getting Started

1Install the Extension

Click the button below to install One-Click Resumes from the Chrome Web Store.

Add to Chrome

2Build Your Profile

Click the extension icon and select "Build Profile." Enter your professional information including work experience, education, skills, and achievements. This is a one-time setup that you can update anytime.

3Generate Tailored Resumes

When you find a job you want to apply for, click the extension icon and hit "Generate Resume." The AI will analyze the job description and create a resume that highlights your most relevant qualifications.

4Export and Apply

Review your generated resume, make any final tweaks, and export it as PDF or Word format. Then submit your application with confidence!

How It Works

Your Professional Profile

Think of your profile as a master resume containing all your professional information. Include everything - every job, skill, project, and achievement. The AI uses this comprehensive picture to select the most relevant details for each application.

AI-Powered Resume Generation

When you generate a resume, our AI analyzes the job description to understand what the employer is looking for. It then selects and emphasizes the experiences and skills from your profile that best match the role, creating a tailored resume in seconds.

Smart Keyword Matching

The AI identifies important keywords, required skills, and qualifications from the job posting. It naturally incorporates these into your resume while keeping the content authentic to your actual experience.

Multiple Export Formats

Export your finished resume as a PDF for direct submission or as a Word document if you want to make additional edits. Both formats use clean, professional templates that work well with applicant tracking systems (ATS).

Privacy & Data Handling

Our Privacy Commitment

Your resume data is personal and sensitive. We've designed One-Click Resumes with privacy as a core principle. Here's a summary of how we handle your data.

Secure Cloud Storage

Your professional profile is stored securely in AWS DynamoDB and associated with your account. All data at rest is encrypted, and all data in transit is protected with TLS. You sign in through Kinde using Google, Apple, LinkedIn, or Facebook.

AI Processing

When you generate a resume, your profile data and the job description are sent to our AI providers (Anthropic or OpenAI) for processing. Both providers operate under terms that prohibit training on your data. Job descriptions are not permanently stored after your resume is generated.

No Data Selling

We never sell, share, or use your personal data for advertising. Your resume information is never used to train AI models or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see your payment credentials.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the extension under Options > Advanced. This action is irreversible. You can also contact us at privacy@toadstonelabs.com to request data deletion.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does One-Click Resumes cost?
One-Click Resumes offers a free tier with 5 credits on signup and 5 free credits every month. Each credit generates one tailored resume. Additional credits can be purchased through our dashboard. You can also earn credits through referrals and promo codes.
Does the AI write fake experience for me?
No. The AI only works with the information you provide in your profile. It selects, reorganizes, and emphasizes your real experiences to match job requirements. It never fabricates experience or qualifications.
Will my resume pass ATS systems?
Yes! Our resume templates are designed to be ATS-friendly. They use standard formatting, readable fonts, and proper document structure that applicant tracking systems can parse correctly.
Can I edit the generated resume before exporting?
Yes! After the AI generates your resume, you can review and edit it before exporting. You can adjust wording, add details, or reorder sections as needed.
What job sites does this work on?
One-Click Resumes works on any website where you can view a job description. It works great on LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Monster, ZipRecruiter, company career pages, and more. Simply navigate to a job posting and click the extension icon.
How do I update my profile after initial setup?
Click the extension icon and select "Edit Profile" to update your information anytime. We recommend keeping your profile current so generated resumes always reflect your latest experience and skills.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Your profile is stored securely in encrypted cloud storage (AWS DynamoDB). All data in transit is encrypted using TLS, and authentication is handled through Kinde. AI providers process your data under terms that prohibit training on it. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.
Do my credits expire?
No. Purchased credits never expire. Free monthly credits are added to your balance each month and also do not expire.

Troubleshooting

Resume generation is taking too long

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Try refreshing the page and generating again
  3. If the job description is very long, the AI may need more time to analyze it
  4. During peak times, generation may be slower than usual

Extension not detecting the job description

  1. Make sure the job description is fully loaded on the page
  2. Try scrolling through the entire job posting first
  3. Some sites load content dynamically - wait a few seconds after the page loads
  4. You can manually paste the job description if auto-detection fails

My profile data disappeared

  1. Make sure you're signed into the same account you used to create your profile
  2. Check your internet connection — the extension needs to reach our servers to load your profile
  3. Try restarting Chrome and reopening the extension
  4. If the issue persists, contact us at support@toadstonelabs.com

PDF export not working

  1. Make sure popups are not blocked for the extension
  2. Try using the Word export option as an alternative
  3. Check your downloads folder - the file may have downloaded automatically
  4. Try disabling other extensions that might interfere with downloads
