One-Click Resumes Terms of Use

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using One-Click Resumes (the "Service"), including the Chrome extension and web dashboard, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

One-Click Resumes is operated by Toadstone Labs ("we," "us," or "our").

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use One-Click Resumes. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Account Creation and Authentication

To use One-Click Resumes, you must create an account. We use Kinde as our authentication provider. You may sign in using Google, Apple, LinkedIn, or Facebook through Kinde.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we believe are compromised or being misused.

4. The Service

4.1 Description

One-Click Resumes is a Chrome extension and web dashboard that uses AI to generate tailored resumes from job postings. The extension extracts job posting details from supported job sites and, combined with your professional profile, generates customized resumes using AI.

4.2 Credits System

Resume generation is powered by a credit system:

  • Free credits: You receive 5 credits upon signup and 5 free credits every month.
  • Paid credits: Additional credits can be purchased through Stripe. One credit equals one resume generation.
  • Promo codes: Bonus credits may be earned through promo codes.
  • Referrals: You can earn credits by referring other users.

4.3 Credit Policy

  • Credits do not expire.
  • Credit purchases are final and non-refundable once credits have been used.
  • Unused credits from a purchase may be refunded within 14 days of purchase by contacting support@toadstonelabs.com.
  • Free and promotional credits are not eligible for refund.
  • Credits are not transferable between accounts.

5. AI-Generated Content

Important: Resumes generated by One-Click Resumes are AI-assisted suggestions. You should understand and agree to the following:

  • AI-generated resumes are based on the information you provide in your profile and the job posting content. The quality of the output depends on the quality and completeness of your input.
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing the accuracy of every generated resume before submitting it to an employer.
  • We make no guarantees about job outcomes, interview rates, or hiring decisions resulting from the use of generated resumes.
  • While the AI is designed to work only with the information you provide, you should verify that all statements in the generated resume are truthful and accurate.
  • We are not responsible for any consequences arising from the submission of an AI-generated resume, including but not limited to rejected applications, rescinded offers, or other adverse outcomes.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for fraudulent purposes, including creating resumes with false information
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the extension or any part of the Service
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service (beyond the extension's normal operation)
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent the credit system or any usage limits
  • Share, resell, or distribute your account access to others
  • Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, defamatory, or harmful
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations while using the Service

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you provide (your profile information) and all resumes generated through the Service. We claim no ownership rights over your resume content. We retain your data only as necessary to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7.2 Our Service

The One-Click Resumes extension, web dashboard, AI models, algorithms, design, and all associated intellectual property remain the property of Toadstone Labs. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as described here.

8. Third-Party Job Sites

One-Click Resumes integrates with third-party job sites including LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Monster, ZipRecruiter, Dice, and more. You should be aware that:

  • We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these job sites.
  • The extension reads publicly visible job posting content from these sites. We do not access private data or circumvent any access controls.
  • Your use of third-party job sites is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
  • We are not responsible for changes to third-party sites that may affect the extension's functionality.

9. Payment and Billing

Credit purchases are processed by Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. All prices are in US dollars unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time, but changes will not affect credits already purchased.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Toadstone Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of employment opportunities or income
  • Inaccuracies in AI-generated content
  • Service interruptions or data loss
  • Unauthorized access to your account
  • Any third-party actions or failures

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We specifically disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • AI-generated resumes will be accurate or suitable for any specific job application
  • The Service will be compatible with all job sites or browsers
  • Using the Service will result in any particular job outcome

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are engaging in abusive behavior. Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
  • Unused purchased credits may be refunded at our discretion
  • We will delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy

You may also delete your account at any time from within the extension under Options > Advanced.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. For significant changes, we may also notify you via email or an in-app notification.

Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas.
